County Commissioners' Education and Training Series
 

     The Institute for Public Affairs co-sponsors with the County Commissioners' Association of West Virginia a semi-annual series of weekend-long policy education and training sessions for West Virginia's county commissioners, their staff, and other county government officials.  The winter session is typically held in Charleston to coincide with the state legislative session.  The summer session is held in various locations throughout the state.  Recent summer sessions have been held in Chester, Davis, and Parkersburg.

    The County Commissioners' Education and Training Series features presentations from faculty members from West Virginia's institutions of higher education, state elected officials, including the governor and leading members of the state legislature, state and local government administrators, and others with expertise in areas of interest to West Virginia's county government officials.

     The Institute for Public Affairs videotapes the sessions and makes the videotapes (VHS) available to the public for the nominal cost of $5 per tape to cover the cost of the tape and mailing.  To order any of the following tapes, send a check for $5 per tape, made out to West Virginia University, to:
