Welcome to Doddridge County, West Virginia!

    On behalf of the citizens of Doddridge County, we County Commissioners would like to welcome you to our county’s web-site.  We are located in the north central portion of West Virginia and are within a few hours driving distance to major cities such as Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Columbus, New York and Washington, D.C.  U.S. Route 50 extends through the middle of our county and gives us easy access to Interstates 77 and 79 plus Interstate 68.

    Our abundance of land and natural resources are second only to our caring and community-oriented citizens.  We are a small rural county and, when compared with other communities, we are virtually crime free.  Our population is small, but we have seen a significant increase since the last census in 1990.

    As our communities continue to grow,  we are working with state and other local governments to develop an infrastructure that will enhance and accommodate future economic growth.  We urge you to view the other icons contained on this web-site and encourage you to contact any of the organizations listed for additional information concerning our county.
