    We, at the Cabell County Commission, wish to take this opportunity to invite you to browse our website and visit our county first hand.   As Commissioners and  residents of Cabell County, we have experienced first-hand the multitude of opportunities our county has to offer its residents.

    With our two, state-of-the-art high schools, our young people are thoroughly prepared to enter college or join the work force and become an integral part of Cabell County.

    Cabell County is proud to be the home of West Virginia’s second largest city: Huntington. It is one of West Virginia's most beautiful cities, and is the home of Marshall University which offers a variety of educational opportunities for its 10,000+ students.  Marshall University offers degrees in humanities; education; fine & performing arts; medicine; business; and, a host of other subjects.

    In addition to Marshall University, Cabell County also offers industry, shopping, dining, entertainment, recreation and a wide array  of other facets.

    Cabell County also hosts Huntington Blizzard Hockey; Huntington Cubs Baseball; Art Museum; Marshall University Performing Arts; Huntington Pops Orchestra; Ritter Park Amphitheater; and Harris Riverfront Park.

    As you can see from our brief description, Cabell County, West Virginia is a nice place to visit and a fantastic place to call home.
