COPDAB Data Errors

(with Corections Taken)

The COPDAB data, as provided by the ICPSR,has numerous errors in it. Most of the errors documented here are rather trivial, and are unlikely to have provided any problems for most research published using these data. Most are simple either minor errors creating a shift in the columns for the data or are misspellings fort the Activity Verbs contained in the data set. The errors of the latter rype are numerous. The intractablility of the Activity Verb coding for most analysis has meant that these categories are routinely ignored.

The errors and corrections provided here fall into three categories:
