| The curriculum for the International Studies major is composed of internationally-oriented courses drawn mainly
from the Departments of Anthropology/Sociology, Business, Foreign Languages, Economics, Geography, History, and
Political Science. |

Curriculum Overview
Students majoring in international studies are required to complete a total of 59 hours of course work. These requirements
consist of four segments: an orientation class, a set of introductory core classes, a selected area of emphasis,
and a capstone course experience.

Areas of Emphases
The core of the major curriculum is the student's chosen "area of emphasis" which enables the student
to specialize in one of four "regional" tracks and/or one of four "global affairs" tracks.
